I have noticed this happens a bit. Kyong's usually replies he was doing a backup. I did suggest that they have a scheduled outage for maintenance. That way we would know there is nothing wrong and the project has a regular window to do whatever maintenance they need. SETI has one every week with a news item on the home page while its in progress.

On a side note I have noticed downloads very slow and backing off this morning Sydney time. Anyone else having transfer issues?

There were some problems with connection due to our ISP so the connection was very slow.
And there was again a maintentance but it shouldn't have took too much time so I didn't write notice about it. I usualy do a backup and have to stop BOINC server but it's not regularly and not the same days so I can't schedule this in advance.

Validator seems to have a large backlog. Is it stuck?

I am doing backup, there so many data after Pentathlon so it takes much more time than usually. If I knew that I would have announced it in the news. I didn't think that it would take so much time today.

Of course, but the results must be processed first.
