I just signed up for this project tonight about 3 hours ago or so, but so far I have not received any work units to process. Is there something up with the server right now? I added rosetta and enigma projects as well and they run just fine. It is only this asteroids one. Can anyone give me ideas whats going on? Thanks.

Because this project doesn't have any MAC applications.

Oh, so, it isn't just a thing where if you have the BOINC application available for it, it will work on any computer you can put it on? So, it HAS to be Windows or Linux only? That's odd. I just assumed that since it was on BOINC, the BOINC app would take care of any translations needed.

Oh well, thanks anyway.

So much for there not being a Mac client for this. I just looked at the BOINC app and it is processing two work units as we speak. It just took a while to get something to work on I suppose.

Each application has to be written specifically for each style of OS. They are not automatic.

You can review what Applications a project has by going to the Main page then finding the Applications page off that.

Yeah, well, the only problem with that is that I made an account in BOINC itself before I ever went to the page. And, since it had been several years since I had used BOINC seriously, I had forgotten all about the applications page for these projects. I did look at it later and it didn't even occur to me that I didn't see Mac on it. :) So, anyway, it was my mistake, but it was fixed by Kyong, so I am grateful.

I am happy an application was quickly put in place and you are now able to crunch here.

Happy BOINCing and maybe your machine will help discover something great. I have had the pleasure to find two significant prime numbers with my machines. One is a currently the larges known one of it's kind.
