The OS info on the computer info page of my android smartphone displays "Android 3.4.0-453947" (kernel version) instead of Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). However, this could be also an issue within Boinc 7.2.7 for Android.

It is propably issue in BOINC 7.2.7. I still haven't tried it so I can't confirm how this version works.

Do you want me to raise a bug in the official boinc board since 7.2.7 is the official Android client or do you want to make some tests by yourself before?

It is in fact reporting the version of the Linux kernel your phone is running rather than the Android version, and it's correct.
