I thought the processor in this system had gone on, but, updating the BIOS for a new one, revealed a fault on the motherboard. It has taken me a while to get everything back together, but crunching again now. I had to drop some old work units as they were already past their delivery dte.

That's ok, BOINC is designed with redundancies to handle situations like that; that's one of the reasons why the deadlines exist.
