I'm new here at Asteroids.

I would like to know more about this project apps.

I'm an experienced SETI user.

I made bench test runs with the SETI apps, for to find out which CPU app is the fastest and which cmdline settings are the best/fastest for the GPU apps.

The SETI MultiBeam tasks have different Angle Ranges.
For to find the fastest CPU app and the best/fastest cmdline settings for the GPU apps it's needed to test at least 4 different AR tasks (VHAR, mid AR, VLAR and 'guppi').


How it's here at Asteroids?

The Asteroids tasks are all the same, just the calculation time vary a bit?

Which kind of Asteroids tasks I should take for to make a bench test run, for to find out which app (SSE2, SSE3 or AVX) is the fastest on my system/s?
Maybe it should be named specially or no matter which?

[EDIT: The server should find out and use the fastest CPU app automatically, I guess. How long it last to find out, after 10 'Number of tasks completed'? But if it don't work 'properly', I would like to make bench test run. ;-)]
