VERY poor response times.

AND NO, this has nothing to do with our internet connection, since we
are logged in to all other projects without any problems.

these seem like related issues,
the website messes up at the same time task uploading has issues.
I had same problem for the last couple days now.
asteroids@home should have more staffing/help to try to deal with this.
or at least post updates on whats going on.
not that it would happen anytime soon, but just an opinion.

If no steps are taken in the investment of machinery, further assistance becomes pointless.

Many of us have several times more powerful machines that count the project.
