Has anyone been receiving so many tasks at once? The server currently sent me over 800 tasks.

My preference right now is set at 0.1 days of work and additional 0.25 days of work.

I just don't want all these tasks to be overdue when my computer can't finish them on time.

A few suggestions are coming on my mind.
Have you checked your other sets of Computing preferences along with the Default one - Home, School and Work. Is it possible your computer to be part of different set than you though?

Can you try switching to Web preferences in your BOINC client as there are much more details and properties so you can handle the settings more accurately.

I have the same problem.
My computers are in the standard group, in boinc client the buffer is set to 0.05 days and on the website I have set 0.2 days (but there is written, that boinc client should overrule this setting).
I still get the maximum of 400 WUs all the time.

I have set the project to maximum of 10 WUs at the same time to limit the effect of cpu clock going down because of the heavy AVX usage.

The PCs are not running all the time (mostly 1 week on, 2 weeks off) , so I abort all the remaining WUs before switch off.

Any further ideas?

I have set the project priority to 0 - but I still got 400 WUs and need to abort most of them tomorrow.
