BOINC is running again. Uploading was working so the ending tasks should be processed normally.

Hi, I am sorry for the current situation with a disk space. There is again no free space available on server so I had to shut down BOINC compoments and results are moving to a temporary storage. I will start BOINC compoments in two days (11.07.2018). If possible I will start it tomorrow depending on the file transfer status (I'll inform you on twitter when BOINC is fully running again).
We are also waiting for a new storage server which will solve the repeating disk space problem so I hope it will be very soon.

Hi, we are currently waiting for a response from seller so I hope it won't take too long. The new server configuration should be very simillar but there will be 8x2.4 TB disks. This server will be used as storage for processed/unprocessed WUs so it should solve the disk space problem and project should have continuous work.

I also thank you anyone who donated to PayPal.

I noticed that the db_purge process in the server status page at https://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/server_status.php as of this writing is marked as "Not Running". Could this be the root cause of the problem?

The database is running on server "project2" which is dedicated only for database and has enough space for it. db_purge is storing older database records at compressed files to server "project1" so it just stops working if there is not enough space for storing it. Those files take very little space so they are not causing the problems and database is still working correctly. If database would crash due to free space or other problems then forum would be unavailable. Only asteroidsathome.net (not /boinc) would work because this is running on server "project1".

I have already written serveral times that if there are no WUs, we are aware of it. Asteroids should get a new server in the summer so it should solve problems with free space which is the reason why the work isn't always available to send.

Hi, don't worry, the project is still alive. If not, if wouldn't have run till today. Some new results are ready to publish but I am now in process of website reconfigure. Also, we do not have constantly work due to low free space on servers but we should add a new server to fix the problem this summer so after adding it there shouldn't be gaps with no available WUs to send.

Hi, and as again sorry for my late response. Server was down for a few hours as had been written and there were no problems during the maintenance so I didn't write anything here.

Just WUs weren't ready to sent but that was normal. We don't have continual work due to lack of space on server so we can't have too big WU cache on server to have work all time. Well, the work could be ready a few days earlier but a script which was adding the work failed and I didn't check it. I will adjust it to sent me an e-mail if adding a work fails so that I am aware of that problem. But there was no problem with it before so that is the reason I hadn't checked that script.

Also server should be now more swingly and browsing forum and profile page should be much better. I was adding a memory to server so now first server has 96 GB RAM and the other has 64 GB RAM. I just updated server_status.php with this information.

I'll look into that to see what can be done. But there are still things with higher priority now so I don't know when I'll have time for it.

Unfortunatelly not. We have applications only for nVidia and not resources to make AMD gpu app. Some people wanted to rewrite it for AMD gpu but they never finished it.

What does BOINC log say about detecting instructions for that processor? I don't have access to that AMD processor to check it.
