I believe you asked with what spec PC could you use to give a significant contribution to Asteroids (not googled :P). You should start a separate thread for this really, but it depends how significant you mean. If you've got cash to burn then go 6 or 8 core Intel CPU (not sure how well AMD CPUs do, anyone?). But you would still make a significant (but less of course) contribution running an old C2 Duo 24/7. As for GPUs, atm only Nvidia ones can be used & they don't give a major speed on Asteroids as they do in other projects, so far. |
