I've managed to get my Sandy Bridge to successfully run avx files by using a app_info file but I can't get it to run CUDA files. Has anyone been able to run both? If so can you please post your app_info file?

Kerry

No, they're all about an hour and a half and I had already downloaded 10x what I usually get when I had to turn off the "allow new tasks" tab.

Something's not right.

There doesn't seem to be an end to the number of wu downloading. My preferences are set to get 5 days worth but it just goes on and on and on downloading more and more work units. It this intended behavior?

Add me to the list. Almost every download fails.

It's been going on for a long time now.

And what makes you think Asteroids can't support OpenCL?

It was a rhetorical question. Another poster has reported that it is on the "to do" list so I assume they'll get to it when they can.

I'll look for the other threads you suggest.

Thanks

I notice in the Boinc "Notices" that Seti has released GPU support for Intel GPUs that support OpenCL 1.2. According to Intel,

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033757.htm

The 3rd Generation HD Graphics 2500 supports OpenCl 1.2, so that's Ivy Bridge. If Seti can support OpenCl 1.2 apps on Ivy Bridge, why can't Asteroids?

Can someone post which Intel processors support avx?

I have a Sandy Bridge system and want to know if it will run the avx apps.

Have you adjusted Boinc so it only checkpoints once every 15 minutes instead of every 60 seconds?

Can you explain what this "checkpoint" is you refer to? I haven't seen that option.

Edit: Never mind! I found it.

Just joined this project and my event log says this project is temporarily down for maintenance. Is this correct?
