it worked for me



.. an this host then got WUs and started crunching?
Asking because I did the same, it attached, but always got error messages, nu WUs

I have several hosts running fine crunching a@h on Ubuntu 16.4
Trying to attach another host has been failing for days now.
If I do it on the commandline using boinccmd the host attaches but does not work. I get a message that username does not match and that I should detach and re-attach the host.

Attaching via boincmgr fails with a message that the host is down but internet is working. See also the thread in number crunching.

Was able to attach now using --project_attach.

No work on any of the computers, though.

I am using Ubuntu 16.04.
When using the boincmgr, I get a messages saying that attaching was not successful and that I should try again.

Using boinccmd I get

holgi@i5srv:~$ boinccmd --host i5slim --join_acct_mgr  http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/ XXX XXX
poll status: operation in progress
poll status: permanent HTTP error

I cannot attach a new machine to my account. Have been trying for 2 days now.
