Radim Vančo (FoxKyong) has had his mail box removed! We are working with rookies!! Set your down load settinds as large as you think will lsat you a week and connect offen to transfer files.

Sarge

Your attitude and suggestion does not help anyone. Remember this is an all volunteer operation. The project has recently had system work I believe. If his mail box is missing it will come back.

As for the "Rookie" statement there are a lot of available IP addresses and you are free to create and run your own project to demonstrate your own skills.

Thank you

If you are running ARM 7 or 8 there is a new BOINC BETA version for Androids up on the Play Store. If you wish to sign up to be a BETA tester.

Reference information on how to sign up to be a BETA tester is at
https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7003180

I have been running it since about October 28th 2018 and it has been stable for me.

Looking at the following Computer ID 481032 it seems to have a large number of Failed while Computing Errors.

They also are downloading too many WU's to process before deadline but that is another issue.

I currently have a completed WU that is in back off status pending retry to upload. The Server Status screen does not show any glaring errors so I am wondering if we have run out of disk space somewhere ?

Thanks

The no WU's available problem has been on going for awhile looking at this thread. It would be great if the Project Admin would share some information on the issues causing this.

BOINC 7.8.6 for Mac OS is now available on the primary BOINC Download Site:

https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php

From Charlie Fenton ...

This is a release for Macintosh only; there are no changes from 7.8.3, 7.8.4 or 7.8.5 affecting the code for any other platform. It fixes a couple of Mac-only bugs in 7.8.5:
* Reliably installs the BOINC screensaver (unless asked not to do so.)
* Fixes a bug which could prevent determining the correct size of RAM when run on versions of OS X older than OS 10.11.
