Because this project is hosted and run by a volunteer who already has a life, a job, gives what free time he can to this project and sometimes he has other priorities? Just guessing :)



That is absolutely correct!! Plus he is tends to be a very busy person as well.

From what I have read about AMD's Threadripper, the AVX instruction set is not supported. PrimeGrid and World Community Grid both have threads discussing the Threadripper CPU. I believe the PrimeGrid thread states that due to the lack of AVX instruction set support or compatability, the Threadripper CPU may not work as well on PrimeGrid's tasks compared to Intel AVX CPU's.
