I get the error message that the certificate has expired. Could that be why?

I think Asteroids need to update their PPD credit system for GPUs,
Especially when they regularly shut down, and don't accept WUs from people, allowing processed WUs to expire without the user being able to upload them!

MOST of the BOINC projects will, after a shutdown, offer some time to upload any processed tasks, and accept them even if their deadlines have expired, if the quotas for the WUs have not been met yet.

You may need to watch carefully to see how close Asteroids@home is to doing this.

The project is currently sending out more tasks, even when it cannot accept uploads of results of completed tasks. Is this suitable for freeing up disk space on the server, or is it increasing the amount of disk space in use instead?

Should the project stop sending out any more tasks if the amount of free disk space drops below a certain level?

I get the same message, and looking at the Server status page, you can see that the db_purge service is not running, maybe thats is the problem.

I hope he is reading this, and will get it up and running again soon.

How much information do you have on how many workunits have files that are ready to delete and therefore how much space restarting db_purge will save?

You may want to create more Windows GPU workunits than usual - GPUGRID has stopped offering any again.

"Unfortunately, running a database isn't as simple as adding more drives for space."

Actually, it is

You add the physical drives to the DB server, then you extend the size of the database

That might work if the DB server still has room for more physical drives. Does it?

How long is this task supposed to run? It's been running 6 hours on a GTX 1080 already.

ps_190110_input_96321_1_8

The estimated time remaining went to 00:00:00 at least three hours ago.

It looks like the uploads problem is now PARTIALLY fixed, at the cost of a major slowdown in the human-readable part of the project. Most, but not all, of my uploads have finished, and I've downloaded a few new tasks.

Hey administration folks, we really should invest in additional disk space!

7/7/18 5:15:17 AM | Asteroids@home | [error] Error reported by file upload server: Server is out of disk space

This has been ongoing for a few days now. I have several tasks that are continuously uploading but are unable to due to lack of disk space on the project's server.

How many of the users are ready to donate some money to pay for the additional disk space and any other changes needed to make it useful? Does the project offer a way to send such money?

Looks like time to add another item to the server status - how much free space ts left on the drive that accepts uploads.

project2 has only database. If no database is running than the website is down and nothing works. I'll try to do some description there.

"Databases for website" should be a good description. then.

When you have time, could you modify the server status web page to show either the programs running on host project2, or a reasonable description of what that host is doing that doesn't require any programs there? Not as urgent as getting uploads working properly again. though.

I've thought of a way to save a little space on the server. Whenever uploads are blocked, don't send additional tasks for workunits that have hit their deadlines until uploads have been unblocked for the last 24 hours.

Unclear - this project currently has enough of a disk space problem to prevent uploads. Watch for signs of how fast this will be fixed.

AMD GPUs are not supported because the only GPU app for this project uses legacy CUDA code instead of OpenCL which both Nvidia and AMD GPUs can use.

I've read that there is a program called swan that can convert CUDA to OpenCL. However, this was long enough ago that I doubt if it can convert the newer features of CUDA properly.
