BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing) è un software sviluppato dall’Università di Berkeley che tramite il Calcolo Distribuito sfrutta la potenza dei PC volontari. I progetti supportati da BOINC sono diversi e divisi in categorie SCIENZA, MATEMATICA, MEDICINA, ASTRONOMIA, ECC..
