I'm in my late 20's and I'm educated in Philosophy and History. Among other things I learned to appreciate science and when I randomly found an article about distributed computing, it became immediately my passion and I was crunching until this year (2017). I'm kind of disappointed that I discovered this so late (2013), because I would start crunching a few years earlier. Now I have to give up crunching, because currently I don't have enough money to keep up. Maybe, if things get better, I will return, but as of now, I'm intermittent cruncher.
At first, I was crunching with my laptop, but in 2014 I bought dedicated computer with i5-4690S processor and eventually I bought Nvidia GTX 960. I have found some primes, earned few badges and gathered quite few credits. |
