Greetings...I'm a retired programmer, transplanted from the desert of west Texas and the mountains of Colorado to the small island of Kauai, Hawaii. Not sure quite what to do with all the water here. The fact that there are no large cities around makes for watching the night sky very enjoyable. I keep hoping I'll see another meteor shower like one I saw in my youth. I believe it was in November 1966 and from what I've read about it, it was estimated to have been about 500,000 per hour. The entire sky was constantly full of them. Truly an impressive sight.
