Posted 23 Jun 2018 by bcavnaugh Post: Still no Tasks with even setting the Cache to 1 Day http://formula-boinc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=105#p549 "aborting the tasks would be like putting them back in a container for someone else to use" But what is the Point as the Sprit would be over. One way for Teams to Bunker all the Tasks and not let other Teams have any to run the Sprit, so it is like dumping the Fuel on the Ground as posted below. http://formula-boinc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=105 Applies only for Members Running "FormulaBOINC (FB) is a competition for BOINC teams" Sprit this weekend on Project Asteroids@home 06/21/2018 22:00 (UTC) - 06/24/2018 21:59 (UTC) |

Posted 22 Jun 2018 by bcavnaugh Post: Basically all projects are chosen as possibilities unless there is sporadic work or its still beta testing. FB has been running for over a decade. I'd guess if a project admin requests their project to not be included it could be made so. Your Thought really comes before the Mining Teams Took Over BOINC for Fake Money. Still not getting any Tasks. I wonder if the Real Formula One runs this way as well, kind of like saying you cannot have any Fuel for your Race Car. |

Posted 22 Jun 2018 by bcavnaugh Post: It makes no sense that this project was chosen for the Formula Boinc Sprint. True, but then the last Project also should not have been as well. This Project was also used in other events and challenges and could not provide Tasks for all the year. |

Posted 21 Jun 2018 by bcavnaugh Post: Is there no Limit per Host? Not that I have seem, but look at users like CharityEngine1 & CharityEngine2 (Gridcoin) along with grcpool.com(0,1,2,3) hundreds of users computers or hosts that run under the same User ID so IMO Ming has taken over BOINC for the most part and left out what was the Normal Team. So one Team Member (Not A Team) can have hundreds of Members with from 1 to 50 Hosts Each all running as One Member, and that should be a Team AND not a Single User or Single Member. Kind of makes Team Useless or Meaningless anymore. But then Some Normal Teams have Mining Members that Run for their Teams for Events and Challenges that you see through the BOINC Year. "Is there no Limit per Host?" Some Team Members (Not Teams) have 1000+ Host Per Team Member but there are 100s of real users that run under a Single Team Member. |
