Your personal background.
I was born in Richmond, Surrey, England and lived in and around there for about 20 years. When my girlfriend, later my first wife, and I started looking for a house, with our incomes, we were limited to one bedroom flats. A colleague at work, (my office was in Staines), bought a place near Camberley for an amount similar to what we had. We took a weekend drive out to Camberley, entered an estate agents place who promptly sent us on a tour of three bedroom houses in the surrounding areas. I don't recall if we decided on that day, but shortly after, we purchased and moved into a three bedroom house a house in Darby Green. My wife and I separated, and I bought her half of the house. She bought a house, I can't remember the name of the place, but it was near Wrexham. I regularly visited her, I think we went on holiday together as well. We said goodbye finally when she met up with a new guy, who she later married and had at least one kid. I traveled a lot but was limited by leave from a couple of weeks, increasing to three or four weeks away around the world. I took voluntary redundancy when my company reorganized, I decided to take a longer break than had been possible earlier, and a six month trip in South America fitted well. Four months in, in a carpark in Santiago, Chile, I met a Danish girl, we clicked almost immediately and continued for the last couple of months of the trip. We were "living together" for most of that time. At Quito, in Ecuador, she flew back to Denmark. I continued to the Galapagos islands for a while, and briefly Panama, before returning to England. We wrote and phoned each other, and decided we should live together. I sold my house and moved to our first house in Denmark in 1998. We were married in 2000. We have moved once and now live about 5km from our first place. It will be our silver wedding anniversary in the autumn.
Your opinions about Asteroids@home
It has regular work, and can fill gaps left by my other projects who tend to have work intermittently. Space science has always been an interest.
