Suspend Boinc and then restart it, sounds like Boinc is confused and just spinning its wheels.

Machine has been up and down a few times. Re-enabled the job, completion dropped to zero, remaining started at ~15 hours, then after a few seconds, jumped back up to 87600:00:00 with % complete 0.006%. Suspended again.

I would abort it and move to the next one if it were me, too many fish in the sea to fight one that may not taste good, ie validate, anyway.

Machine has been restarted again, (I'm trying to get rid of Windows 8.1 on it), with the Asteroids job suspended. When it came up, still showing suspended of course, it shows the Asteroids job as 86.875% complete elapsed 15:08:53 and 02:17:18 remaining. When the other jobs are finished, (there are just 2 Constellation wu's left, longest has 5 hours to run), I'll release it and see what happens.

You are probably right about it, but it is intruiging what the hell it is doing. It looks like it has been working okay.

It was consistent, same again, resumed, ran for 2 seconds then to completion went into the stratosphere again. Aborted.
