Is it worth buying the 11th generation because of AVX-512 e.g. 11900T for BOINC or the es engineering version for $50. It would be good if it was suitable for 24/7/365 work. ASROCK Z590 PRO4 SERIES USB 3.2 GEN M.2 WIFI MOTHERBOARD. G. Skill Ripjaws V F4-4400C16D-16GVK. C+zy buy 12th generation disable ecore with the appropriate bios and get access to AVX-512? Anything else regarding AVX-512?

AVX-512 support benefits many projects including Asteroids@Home, but it shouldn't be the main reason to purchase a CPU. Still, if the price is reasonable and you're not overly concerned about power efficiency, it's worth considering.

Avoid the 12th gen for AVX512. It's unlikely you'll find an older revision that allows you to enable it by turning off the E-cores.
