Hello, I've been here since 2008 (NOSTRUMARE name), but recently in 2016 I created another account. My question is, why can't I view the execution of the tasks? I'm supposed to be able to enable a star photometry viewer for this project, at least the computing power is precisely for that. I have another technical question, the ease with which the screen freezes using an AMD Ryzen 9 5900x and an Nvidia RTX 4060, when I have very low temperatures, with 95.8% CPU time and 50% CPU time.

a screensaver to visualize the current work was never finished. We have it in a roadmap, but it's not the current priority.

I see that some of your NVidia GPU tasks crashed. Your driver should be recent enough, but updating it from 566.36 to 572.83 may help. Is the GPU overclocked? Do other GPU projects like Primegrid, Einstein, or games work reliably on that GPU?

I will try the latest driver 572. I think that visualizing the task would give greater peace of mind to the user running BOINC, due to a case in a research center in Russia, where they used the computing power to mine bitcoins.

Your CPU tasks are also failing/returning invalid results, even though they have been successfully validated by other users. This could be due to a hardware failure or an unstable overclock. You should check the stability of your NVidia system.

that doesnt have anything to do with this project or your problems. just an example that bad people did bad things. not even a distributed computing situation at all. it was a case of misappropriation of military equipment and the people were arrested, and sounds like they were discovered very quickly.

the code of this project is available on a public github for review if you really dont trust it. several BOINC projects have public code like this.
