I have no doubt that there is a cert issue on the website, but I cannot explain why, when I downgrade to 8.2.4, everything resumes working normally.

I too am having issues adding/re-adding only Asteroids@home. Both my Macs are macOS 26.5.1 and BOINCManager 8.2.11. Any ideas.

It’s not an Asteroids server issue, it’s an Apple issue because the system isn’t keeping its default certificates updated.

Thanks to JeromeC2023 for helping debug this.

I propose a workaround https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/pull/7112
testers are welcome.
