Last modified: 27 Sep 2025, 15:08:44 UTC I had two Macs running Asteroids@home under BOINC. One is running macOS Tahoe 26.0, the other is running macOS Catalina 10.15.7. Asteroids@home is working fine on macOS Tahoe 26.0, but not on macOS Catalina 10.15.7. I tried resetting the project, that didn't work. Tried to remove and reinstall, but I cannot add it back. I get the error messages I posted in my last post, Message 9172.

So many of these projects rely on volunteers to keep going. I applaud them. My working life in IT ran for over 40 years, so I fully understand that there are times when nothing works as expected. An IBM Systems Engineer once gave our department a document titled, "The 10 Commandments of Computer Programmers". Of course, it could have been for any business. One of my favorites went something like this: "When all about thee whirleth and screameth and seemeth to fall apart, say to thyself, 'This too, shall pass!'" Kudos to these volunteers and all who support these projects!

Last modified: 30 Sep 2025, 0:56:41 UTC My problem on Windows 10 21H1 was due to using old BOINC 7.16.20 or similar, which uses local ca-bundle.crt and even with updated file, no go. New BOINC version, which uses Windows as source for certificates, solves issue. Been that way since 7.18 or so. Solves issue, until, Windows Trusted Root Certification Authorities store need update via sst import from Windows 11 machine.

Hello! I'm unclear of the appropriate place to ask about 6 completed task that have not been transferred for a few weeks now. They have been roosting in the "Transfer" area all of this time. Is there anything that I can do, or is there a problem on your end? Should I just be patient? Also, my profile indicates that I have been a user/member since 3 Apr 2023. I believe I recall being a user for well over 10 years, perhaps over 15 years. Is there any way to confirm this? I have owned several computers over the last 20 years, first using Seti@Home and WCG, then adding several projects, including Asteroids@Home. I am very interesting in continuing this project. Thank you for your help. |

This may be the certificate issue noted in the post before yours and thread below. https://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/forum_thread.php?id=1154 Paul. |
