I'm not getting any tasks on a AMD cpu/Windows11/Nvidia&AMD gpu computer. Event log:

10/4/2025 12:27:53 | Asteroids@home | Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: no applications; NVIDIA GPU: no applications; AMD/ATI GPU: no applications)

The computer was running other projects but they are all suspended, with some tasks suspended in the queue. Is that what's stopping Asteroid tasks? Even if Asteroids is set to a higher resource share and the other projects are suspended??

This computer is set to use HOME profile, and I've looked at both Computing and Project preferences HOME profiles and don't see a problem.

It appears on the application page that there's a ton work available for Windows/AMD/Nvidia but not for this box. My old Windows/Intel/Nvidia box is getting tasks just fine.

Yes, your suspended tasks are the issue. BOINC doesn't like being perturbed by user manipulations. It considers the suspended tasks a priority since they are likely close if not not already in EDF mode but Boinc can't do anything about that since you manually suspended that work.
Either abort the suspended work or unsuspend them and set NNT for those projects so Boinc can get back to round-robin scheduling of all your projects according to your weights. Then you can get your turn at the Asteroid work.

Thanks. I'll give that a try (eventually). However, I've successfully received tasks before while other projects and tasks were suspended. Has BOINC changed or was I just lucky ;-)

Also, I'm not getting any Asteroids tasks (same event log entry) even when nothing is suspended and Asteroids has a higher resource share.

Right now nobody will be able to get any work as the server has no tasks to send out.
