Is anyone running multiple work units on a single GPU? I know that this is a viable option on the einstein@home project. I tried using an app_config.xml file to instruct BOINC to run 2 GPU work units at once. It did work but unfortunately reduced the overall performance on both cards I tried it on. I tried it on a gtx 4070 and a gtx 1070. Both computers running Windows 11. Crunching 2 WUs at once works but it takes more than twice as long to complete them. In other words, crunching 1 work unit at a time is faster. Just curious if anyone is running multiple gpu work units at once and if they are seeing any efficiency gains. Thank you |
