The master project list in the BOINC Manager ("Add Project" wizard) is still handing out the old http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/ address to users.

Since the project has transitioned to https, could an administrator request an update to the master XML file (project_list.php) on the central Berkeley BOINC servers? I assume at some point http might stop working and less technically minded users may never notice.

Maybe you're using an older version of BOINC?

Ah, it is just Boinctasks getting it wrong. I assumed it would use the same list, do you know where it gets it from?

I seldom use the Boinc Manager as it's rubbish.

I looked into it, and actually, BOINC tasks gets the list from the client

There's a 14-day local cache, so you might be looking at a stale local copy. Something may be preventing the cache from refreshing - read-only permissions, network issues. etc. You can try removing it, open the "Add Project" wizard again, and see if there's any change.
