You have done all the essential things such as attaching your host to this project. So far your host has crunched a number of Asteroids@home tasks successfully and they are all in a list which you can access on this website by clicking Your Account -> Tasks. There you will see your "list of tasks" which is a summary of all the tasks you have received from the Asteroids server and the outcome of each task. Study the links on that page... there is a ton of information there. The Status column tells you whether the task completed successfully , ended in a "compute error" or whether the result was returned after the deadline or was abandoned.

You should look at your list of tasks every other day to see if everything is working properly. Sometimes your host will return nothing but errors and in that case you need to take corrective action. You can ask questions about corrective actions here in this forum. So far in your list you have only successful tasks, about 70 of them, no errors. Keep up the good work :-)

In case you are not aware there is The Official BOINC wiki.

There are several possible outcomes:

1) success - the task completes normally
2) computation error - the task errors out on your computer
3) aborted - you abort the task before it completes
4) canceled - the server tells your computer to abort the task
5) abandoned - the task is not returned before the deadline

I want to say outcome is synonymous with result and it is except we use the word "result" to refer specifically the file your computer sends back to the project server immediately after the task completes.

The outcome of each task is indicated in the Status column on your results page.

Again, look on your results page. The credits each task earns is right there on that page. I know there is a ton of info there but you must study it and learn what it means otherwise you'll flounder around forever, never knowing what's happening or why. Yah, it's a bit of work at first but soon you get used to it and it becomes easy.
