If there are so many problems why don't you write them? I can hardly repair them without feedback. Just criticism isn't helping.

Back to the topic of this thread.

I was getting removed from my team for the second time this month yesterday.

Why does this happen? Do I need to expect to be removed from the team again?

Can you specific exact date and time when this happened? I will check logs but there is too many information and there are no name IDs, just numbers what was good or not in team count. So I will try to figure it out but without exact times it will be difficult.

I was removed from my team again (3rd time).

I don't have date or time when the removals happened.
Looking at the stats at Free-DC you can take the dates when team changes were exported (section Historic Team Movements).

Is this "your" team?:
http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/team_display.php?teamid=59

'Founder [BOINCstats] Willy'
http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/show_user.php?userid=99

You can say "my team" only if you are the Founder
(I think Founder have right to ban you from the team, ask him (link above) about the issue)

I said "my team" because I joined them. I'm not the founder.
I asked Willy and he said he didn't ban me.

Today I needed to join the team again since I was removed again.

That is strange. I found the log from yesterday and a few days ago and there is that there were no changes made to the team. Is there anyone else who has the same problem? I will try to search other logs if there is any information about it.

Are you using BAM or some other Manager? Are you joining on the site, but not through your manager? Your Manager will adjusts all your projects to the preferences saved in it and does not care what changes you make to a single site.

I joined the team using BAM and I'm still a team member on BAM.
I was removed from the team only on the project and re-joined the team manually on the project.

Work with Willy at BAM. Sometimes he needs to make adjustments against projects to fix these issues or he may have to work with the Project admin to get all the settings to hold.

This has happened before with other projects. Sometimes a backend update doesn't work well with how BAM adjusts settings.

I tested a bit. The team membership was removed just after changing and syncing the work preferences on BOINCstats with the project.

I asked Willy about this behaviour, his answer is:
Team membership and preferences share the same RPC's to communicate with the project, but with different contents. When sending prefs without team info, the team should not change, as was at least the case up until now. Should this RPC be implemented incorrectly at the project side, then with sending no team info, but setting it anyway, that would most probably result in setting to team to abs(nothing) which is 0. And 0 means no team.
A bit cryptic maybe. It means I think the problem is with the projects.

Does a RPC setting the work preferences affect the team membership at the project?

RPC means Remote Procedure Call, so BAM is making a call to the project site which should in turn make the adjustments to your account. If there is a misalignment as to the call and the project accepting the call then that could be where the issue lies.

With each BOINC backend change (project side), sometimes those calls can get adjusted wrong or missed. Sounds like what might be happening in this instance. I do not use any Manager, but am very aware of some of the issues over the years.

So I'd suggest the Admin from here work with Willy to get the settings adjusted as not to cause this to keep happening.

Good idea, I didn't modified anything that has to do with RPC, everything is in default BOINC server settings. If I would knew what to edit I can fix the problem. Can you ask him what is supposed to edit and where if possible?

Can you please contact Willy directly (via PM)?

I suppose it's the Set account info RPC what you should check.
The attribute teamid is optionally. If it's not in the request the team should not be set.

I think I just had this same problem. Any progress on figuring out what is causing it?

Unfortunately not, I didn't have much time to solve this but I discover that this is an issue with more projects but it affect only very few users so it could be a common issue but due to so little users affected it would seem that there no problem elsewhere. But I am still going to find the problem.
