Hi,

I've recently joined this project and noticed that tasks from other projects (e.g. SETI or Einstein) are automatically suspended once an Asteroid@Home task is ready for computation.
I changed the preferences so that Asteroids@Home gets less CPU time than other projects. However, all other tasks are still suspended immediately.

Am I doing something wrong here or is this due to WU deadlines?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Boinc is trying to "equalize" things out for you. If you wish to crunch all three of your projects at once, do nothing and Boinc will see to things. Otherwise you will have to adjust your settings to get the balance you want. Either way, it will take a while for things to settle out.

Boinc is trying to "equalize" things out for you.

BOINC is supposed to do so in a 'long' term (days/weeks) but I also don't see this happening properly (I use BOINC 6.10.58)

Even with Resource share 999:1 and running only SETI@home + Asteroids@home for about a month (a few months ago)
I don't see BOINC '"equalize" things out' (I see more like 70:30% (number of tasks, Run time))

(Now I resorted to set 'No new tasks' for Asteroids@home and enable it manually for ~1 day every 10-15 days
- I don't like the long restart time (~15 minutes) for Asteroids@home tasks (e.g. if I exit BOINC to play some game and then start BOINC again)
)

For some reason 'debt' is calculated for SETI@home but not for Asteroids@home (even if only Asteroids@home CPU tasks run; no matter if I set 'No new tasks' or not)

(in fact BOINC really "equalize" work (1:1) but I would like the ratio to be 5:1 or 10:1)

Sometimes I try <zero_debts>1</zero_debts> in cc_config.xml (<zero_debts> is present in BOINC 6.10.58 but not in BOINC 7.x)
which have no noticeable effect in the "equalize" of work fetch in the next days (BOINC do not obey 'Resource share' set).

<cc_config>

   <log_flags>
      <benchmark_debug>1</benchmark_debug>
      <dcf_debug>1</dcf_debug>

      <max_stdout_file_size>5242880</max_stdout_file_size>

      <zero_debts>0</zero_debts>
   </options>

</cc_config>

Thanks for your answers!

That's exactly what I'm doing now. :)
