My first two WUs with v102.00 on Android (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1) crashed half way through, possibly in connection with suspension due to low battery. Could be a coincidence, but I have had no problems with v101. We'll see as the next two WUs are running now. |

I moved my 1090T (64 bit Linux Mint 15) on to the project and it is completing WUs 2x faster with the new optimized app. My 2600K (64 bit Linux Mint 15) is "only" 30% faster with the new app. 9907665 3851208 8 Aug 2013, 14:13:00 UTC 9 Aug 2013, 3:18:22 UTC Completed and validated 6,019.49 5,949.34 120.00 Period Search Application v102.00 9903751 3880191 7 Aug 2013, 21:47:18 UTC 8 Aug 2013, 7:59:00 UTC Completed and validated 6,314.24 6,238.79 120.00 Period Search Application v102.00 9902604 3674191 7 Aug 2013, 12:15:50 UTC 7 Aug 2013, 23:44:36 UTC Completed and validated 9,155.71 9,055.44 120.00 Period Search Application v101.00 9901057 3865553 7 Aug 2013, 4:02:30 UTC 7 Aug 2013, 15:58:52 UTC Completed and validated 8,925.42 8,828.53 120.00 Period Search Application v101.00 Nothing was changed before and after (old app vs new app). Hyperthreading was on and I was running GPUgrid. No big deal, I just thought is was interesting. |

My first two WUs with v102.00 on Android (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1) crashed half way through, possibly in connection with suspension due to low battery. The next two WUs finished without problems, but they had sufficient battery level. Runtime with v102 approximate two thirds of v101. |

Is the 'restart from checkpoint' time fixed/optimized in the new builds?: http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/forum_thread.php?id=68 (I can't test this on XP 32-bit since there is no new app for 32-bit Windows: http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/apps.php ) Also there is no more (debug) info in stderr.txt http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/result.php?resultid=9908769 e.g.: Restarting at XX% Pre-calculations done in SSS seconds ... Main loop done in ZZZ seconds Results found: ... called boinc_finish - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) |

Again, any news on the mac front? Since the mac apps are relatively new, I assume that means you have been able to build them recently, in which case what is stopping mac builds of the optimised code? I'm crunching on both mac and win, and the time difference is noticeable. |
