I have noticed that some of my wingmen produce computation errors, while using Boinc 7.0.24.
I had also the same issue as i started computing for Asteroids@Home.

Please notice, that there is a well known issue with Boinc 7.0.24, although it is distributed by some repositories (like Ubuntu f.e.).
Asteroids@Home seems to be obviously one of the projects which suffer under this version.

Replacing 7.0.24 with 7.0.26 fixed the problem for me.

Keep up the good work

P.S.: I hope my english is quiet understandable.

Thanks for noticing, I am sorry to miss this thread and reading it now. It seems, the main problem is in the BM version so no much to do about it. But I've noticed that API is a little changed since 7.x version so I will fix it.

The solution suggested by Ex over at Seti@home (due to the repo being wrong) is as below. It will actually bring down 7.0.34.

I recommend Ubuntu users remove any manually installed boinc packages they have.
Also, do "sudo apt-get autoremove" if you have no manually installed packages.

To install a working Boinc 7.0.27:
Ubuntu 12.04 users can do (in a terminal):

sudo apt-get install python-software-properties
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costamagnagianfranco/boinc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install boinc

That's it. Boinc is installed.

If you want the full message over at Seti it can be found here

On my Raspberry Pi (runs a derivative of Debian Wheezy) all I needed to do for it was:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install boinc
sudo apt-get install boinc-manager

BOINC 7 isn't working on openSUSE 13.1 64 bit either.
Is there anybody who can "screw" me an rpm or YUM ?
