I had 932 at last count. The following was posted in the news message thread about server problems:

big part of the problem is your config: max # of error 20.

so those will definitely take 20 rounds..

I know, I decrease the value but it affect only newly added workunits.

Now that I know the way to get rid of them I'll just keep letting them fail in the download and hit update. If they have to fail 20 times before they are killed off them I'll try to get rid of as many as I can.

Once again downloads are failing.

Can you post link to there workunits, I will check, if they are the old or the new ones.

The latest ones I had where created Aug 27

On one of my Windows 32 bit computers all work units are failing on Download.

I keep getting an Error that the File has the Wrong Size and also a Checksum or Signature Error.

The Work unit reports that it "Couldn't get Input Files".

So the work unit downloads then fails with the above message.

I have reset twice to no avail.

I have detached and re-attached twice also to no avail, still does not work.

Strange thing is my other computers can download and process a work unit with no trouble.

EDIT:: Don't worry about this. I started to also have the same error on another project (Convector) as well so I closed and restarted BOINC and now all working OK.
Seems to have been some corrupted files in BOINC.

What you describe is usually caused by some (stupid) antivirus.
So check the antivirus logs and quarantine.
