Can someone please add some OSX tasks to the queue? Since there is no such thing as "OSX tasks" or 'Win XP tasks' or 'Android tasks' you are asking for 'drinking water for left-handed' (tasks are the same as water is the same) "no tasks available" - give/copy the real messages - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) |

There are no macs awarded credit in the past day. I think that shows that this issues is across all macs, not just mine. Dublin, California Team: SETI.USA |

Last modified: 27 Nov 2013, 20:06:56 UTC I can confirm that my own Mac has requested A@H tasks twice today and not been sent any. I notice too that the 102.10 (sse2) app my machine has was replaced in the site's Applications list with 102.11 (sse3) two weeks ago, but I haven't been sent that either. NG |

Last modified: 28 Nov 2013, 19:02:06 UTC Ok, no computer, I could test, was getting any sse3 or avx tasks. That is a new problem with BOINC server I found out. I got back changes I made and now the MacOS should get no work again unfortunately. I will have do more changes due to it but it will have to wait till saturday, I can't make them now and I won't have enough time to make the changes tommorow.

Last modified: 29 Nov 2013, 15:04:07 UTC Ok, no computer, I could test, was getting any sse3 or avx tasks. That is a new problem with BOINC server I found out. So BOINC server config files (XML ?) do not provide a way to set both pni + SSE3 and avx + AVX1.0 ? As I already posted this list of 'Processor features' is generated by very different means: http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/forum_thread.php?id=93&postid=2083#2083 Can't the effect you want be accomplished by custom <plan_class>? http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/AppPlan http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/AppPlanSpec "Name this file plan_class_spec.xml and put it in your project directory. This will replace the built in plan classes!" <cpu_feature>x</cpu_feature> a required CPU feature (such as sse3). You can include more than one. It is unclear how to use "more than one" Is it: <cpu_feature>pni SSE3</cpu_feature> ... or: <cpu_feature>pni</cpu_feature> <cpu_feature>SSE3</cpu_feature> ... or: <plan_classes> <plan_class> <name>sse3</name> <cpu_feature>pni</cpu_feature> <cpu_feature>SSE3</cpu_feature> </plan_class> </plan_classes> ... or: <plan_classes> <plan_class> <name>sse3</name> <cpu_feature>pni</cpu_feature> </plan_class> <plan_class> <name>sse3_Mac</name> <cpu_feature>SSE3</cpu_feature> </plan_class> </plan_classes> You can start from: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/browser/boinc-v2/sched/plan_class_spec.xml.sample (I just sent PM to David Anderson to check this problem) - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) |
