Last modified: 5 Mar 2014, 19:58:14 UTC Yes, but it is fixed now. BOINC developers made some mistake in source codes so I had to check what is wrong and correct it. I hope that everything is working now. Kyong, reporting tasks still not working for me, tried several times using update, but no joy. regards, Tom. EDIT.....Working now. |

My account "Validation Pending" backlog count has increased 100% during the last four days (from approx 70 to more that 140). Commensurate with this observation my recent Average Credit has decreased 15% (from approx 22000 to 18800). Furthermore, it is observed that the Server Tasks Ready to Send quantity has increased more than 100% during the same time period with a significant increase in the Server Tasks in Progress quantity. QUESTION: What is the system task processing priority logic for Tasks Ready to Send versus performing Tasks Validation Pending? Thanks..... Manning

3/7/2014 9:27:08 PM | Asteroids@home | Giving up on download of input_20182_40: permanent HTTP error If they changed the IP address of the project it can take 5 times consecutively of doing the update manually to make Boinc 'look' for the new address. After a few times of Boinc itself trying to do it and failing it will automatically do it on its own. But it does not happen the first or even second times. |

Good to hear the updates still coming :),I hope the server issue is resolved now. BilBg I did know that DP was restricted on some cards, I'd assumed it was done on the chip. Interesting to know it isn't! Couldn't an electrical engineer do the modding to avoid a risky DIY? Dagorath You over analyse things ;), yes it's a personal opinion, we all have a personal opinion, some logical some not ;). You mat not have a personal relationship with h/w makers but you will have a personal opinion, different things entirely. Anyway, no more OT lol. An electrical engineer is the last person you want doing the mod. First he'll burn himself with the soldering iron and then he'll poke his eye out with the pointy end. I don't think I'm overanalyzing. In fact if you understand what I'm saying I think you can see that I'm not analyzing it at all. The DP crippling is what it is and that's it, that's all. I think what you want is for me to say "NVIDIA is abusing customers". Now that would be an analysis and an opinion, an erroneous opinion, btw. Huh?? When I say electrical engineer I mean someone who not just designs circuits but builds & repairs them. I think they know what to do with the pointy end! ;). I see very low CPU usage & high GPU load. Perfect! GPU usage on my GT 520 is indeed high -- 99% -- which is good. But -- it appears to me that CPU usage is actually much higher than the "0.01 cpus" indicated by BOINC Manager. When the GPU task is running, window's task manager shows high "kernal times" -- mostly due, apparently, to explorer.exe running and using on the order of 20-30% CPU time (on a dual core AMD). I see the same sort of thing happening with einstein@home BRP GPU tasks but NOT with seti@home or milkyway@home GPU tasks. Hmmm... |

Last modified: 27 Oct 2014, 6:45:37 UTC So there are operations being called that are not backward compatible with CUDA 1.1 or 1.2 or is it limited to 2.0 for speed reasons? If it's option 2 is there a way to force a 1.1 CUDA card to run units? EDIT: Or is it related to the invalid calculations the post nVidia 340.xx drivers are causing on pre-Fermi cards as discussed here? http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=75633&sort_style=&start=20 |
