During the long outage I removed asteroids from my machine. Now that the project is back up, I have been trying to re-attach my machine to asteroids but it waits a couple minutes on the

"Communicating with project
please wait..."

and then it says

"Failed to add project
please try again later
Click finish to close"

I've tried at various times of day and night but it always fails to add project. I have no problem viewing the project website in my web browser (Firefox 34.0.5) and I can even access my account and change the Resource share in the asteroids preferences. I just can't attach to asteroids@home.

I'm using BOINC client/manager version 7.4.36 on 32 bit Windows Vista with a core 2 E6420 (the original conroe 6400 but with 4 MB L2 cache instead of 2 MB) and 4GB of ram.

He could have turned that off during the transfer.

I am still unable to add the project. I needed to reinstall windows on my computer. After that, I have been unable to re-add A@H. my other projects are all working fine.

Please give some more information. What Windows version, what Boinc version... and what exactly happens when you try to attach this project.

I cannot attach a new machine to my account. Have been trying for 2 days now.

I am using Ubuntu 16.04.
When using the boincmgr, I get a messages saying that attaching was not successful and that I should try again.

Using boinccmd I get

Was able to attach now using --project_attach.

No work on any of the computers, though.

Attaching on the commandline does not help - I get a message that the username does not match
Still no luck attaching via boincmgr - see messages below.
Any chance to fix this? Thanks

Same here, with a Windows 10-64 after boinc-reinstalation with vbox.
"Attaching of the project failed ("Hinzufügen des Projekts fehlgeschlagen"), "Please Try later".
Boinc-version 7.8.3

Same goes for me too. I tried to re-attach an old host that was attached already in the past, but went through a complete wipe out. This host now has Linux and Boinc 7.8.4. Trying to attach via Boinc Manager... with not success... and error in the log says:

Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

i had today the same problem on differents ubuntu hosts
but i was able to add theproject using the command line tool
go in the folder where the boinccmd file is and type

boinccmd --project_attach http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx must be replaced by your strong key account

it worked for me

still on my android phone i cannot add asteroids

same issue here with my two new computers.
It looks like expired certificate.

email sent to Radim two days ago, no reply so far.

well, yes, i too cannot attach my new tablet (android)
messages says ... get_project_config.php
then it tries to connect to reference site, then it says project may be down.

Sorry, no new connection possible.

yes for me it worked and i can get wu
But i noticed that surfing asteroids's web site with mozilla, it says something about web site certificate;
is maybe because the certificate of the web site expired that we have got all this problems?
