My guess is that CPU/Android WUs are being sent to CPU clients... but chances are I'm completely wrong. :) :) Yes, you are "completely wrong" - WUs are the same, tasks from the same WU are sent to any system/app E.g. this WU was sent to Android/ARMv7 , Windows 7/Xeon/sse2 , Linux/GeForce GTX 760/cuda55 http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/workunit.php?wuid=25611058 ... and as you can see is "Completed and validated"   - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) |

Same Download Failure here, checksum errors again. Man I had 5 - 3.2GHz dual quad i7's running this for the last 30+ days and didnt check on them. I only run Asteroids because I want to get up close to the top, below 100 for users in the USA right now, but backing off for a few weeks to see if this project gets back on its feet yet again (stable hopefully this time). Think I will do some more Community Grid, studying markers for Cancer. Will check back in a few weeks.

After all, it was just a SWAG on my part based solely on the WU IDs that were working and all the others that were not. :) |

Hi. Not a single unit to crunch, every one fails to download; and yet there appears to be a load awaiting and quite a lot in progress? Is there no news, can someone not issue a bulletin to let us all know what is happening? Until today is so hard to me download the units. The problem is NOT on your end, the project is struggling right now and the Project Admin is VERY busy. Here is a website, I don't know when it was last updated though, of active Distributed Computing Projects with the Boinc ones noted: http://www.distributedcomputing.info/projects.html Sing up for one or more of them but set your Resource Share at zero, that way it will try here first then if no work is available you will get enough work to keep your cpu's busy until they finish their workunits. Then it will try here for more work, then get work for your other projects. You can adjust your Resource Share by going to Your Account on the webpage, then preferences for this project, then the top line in each venue is the Resource Share number. If you are only using the default settings then you only need to change the setting in the top venue. Venue's let you have multiple pc's with a different setting for each one, most people don't ever need them, but all projects have them available. The available venue's are default, work, home and school, so you could have 4 different pc's each with different ways of crunching. This works if you have an AMD gpu in one machine and an Nvidia gpu in another machine and want different settings for each pc. |
