still no work units. Reasons?
Because this project is hosted and run by a volunteer who already has a life, a job, gives what free time he can to this project and sometimes he has other priorities? Just guessing :)

WUs are becoming available, but slowly... if you look at the server status, there are nearly a quarter of a million WUs out for processing, and all of the ones I'm getting are for 'validation'. If you don't connect to the server very often, other people grab them up before you.

It looks like there are a lot of people out there who are 'holding on to' very large queues of first-run WUs, and starving out everyone else.

I have already written serveral times that if there are no WUs, we are aware of it. Asteroids should get a new server in the summer so it should solve problems with free space which is the reason why the work isn't always available to send.

Which machine is going to be replaced?

Hosts
project1: IBM x3550 M4 (1 x Intel Xeon E5-2620 2.00 GHz, 96 (12 x 8) GB RAM (1333 MHz) 8 x 600 GB IBM SAS 10000 rpm (RAID5) OS Debian Jessie)

project2: IBM x3550 M4 (1 x Intel Xeon E5-2620 2.00 GHz, 64 (4 x 16) GB RAM (1333 MHz) 3 x 600 GB IBM SAS 10000 rpm (RAID5) OS Debian Jessie)

What`s the load/tresholds on cpu/ram/hdd on mentioned machines?
i think stats like that will interest more members here..

thanks

There are WU's now. I just downloaded a bunch. Server Status page says there are more than 50,000. So come and get'em while there hot!

Is there anything we can do to minimize this problem? Does aborting incomplete work help or hurt? What about uploading and reporting completed tasks?

For the future I recommend you to set the ninimal threeday bunker in Boinc manager.

The more people follow this advice, the more server disk space you are going to need.

What are your average task turnaround times? If it is more than, say, 2 or 3 days, then consider decreasing your task deadline, which is currently 10.5 days.

Maybe them Big Mining Teams have taken all the Tasks.
Or the Big Boys are Bunking them for Formula BOINC Sprit Today.

Is there no Limit per Host?
e.g. Seti@Home sends only 100 WUs per GPU/CPU.

Not that I have seem, but look at users like CharityEngine1 & CharityEngine2 (Gridcoin) along with grcpool.com(0,1,2,3) hundreds of users computers or hosts that run under the same User ID so IMO Ming has taken over BOINC for the most part and left out what was the Normal Team.
So one Team Member (Not A Team) can have hundreds of Members with from 1 to 50 Hosts Each all running as One Member, and that should be a Team AND not a Single User or Single Member. Kind of makes Team Useless or Meaningless anymore.
But then Some Normal Teams have Mining Members that Run for their Teams for Events and Challenges that you see through the BOINC Year.

"Is there no Limit per Host?"
Some Team Members (Not Teams) have 1000+ Host Per Team Member but there are 100s of real users that run under a Single Team Member.
