I’m running an 2016 RPi 3B. I’ve attached the project on the command line and —get_state shows 4 CPU tasks that have been downloaded and are running. Top also shows they are running.

I’m uncertain how long these tasks are going to take. They are in the initial validation state and after 12 hours or so are at 0.2 percent. That seems quite slow? What are other people getting?

I’m such an idiot. It’s a fraction. I’ve just realised. 25% now. And I’ve reduced it to use 75% of CPU time. Still doing 85C though which can’t be good. It’s got a heat sink but no active cooling. Stock case.

At 85c the poor thing is throttling itself in an effort not to burn up. Which is probably why the performance is so low. Try running 25% of the CPUs at 100% and see what temps you get. I also found that those little heat sinks they've been selling since the original PIs do almost nothing. I've been using 25x25x10 or larger, stuck to the CPU with thermal tape. At 10mms tall they still fit in most cases. If you go larger than 25x25 you might have a problem positioning them without using a shim. But if you want to crunch more than WU you need to blow air on them somehow.
