Hi!
Just wondering how long your Raspberry Pi tasks run for?
General poll, out of interest. I had a RPi model B task run for >700h when my RPi2 averages around 250h so I'm curious what the usual experience is.

In my opinion, the power of your CPU could be too low.
I have a Raspberry Pi 3B and it takes about one day and a few hours for calculating.

Maybe, it's a problem in general.

Run time: 243,000.00 - 253,000.00 sec.
CPU time: 240,000.00 - 243,000.00 sec.

Raspberry Pi 3B (ARM Cortex-A53 @1200 MHz)
Run time: 152,600.00 - 156,900.00 sec.
CPU time: 148,600.00 - 155,800.00 sec.

Raspberry Pi 4B (ARM Cortex-A72 @1500 MHz)
Run time: 42,000.00 sec.
CPU time: 41,600.00 sec.

Using the aarch64 app for ARMv8 (version 102.14, released in December 2022) I have Pi4's averaging 31,423 seconds elapsed time or 8 hours 43 minutes. This is from a small set of 8 tasks done over a couple of Pi4's running on all 4 cores.

On my Pi4 I have now run about 300 Tasks. Time is between 20.000 to 50.000 seconds... Some weeks is goes fast, some not.
The average should be in the range between 40 to 42.000 seconds. This means 8 tasks a day. I am wondering if the new Pi5 is really so much faster than promised? Has anyone some experience?

stfn did some tests and has written a pretty good review in his blog.

It seams Asteroids@home runs 3 times faster on RPi 5.

on the PI 5 the gain in calculation time is very significant
