Saw some posts about a possible server upgrade summer of 2018, or shortly after... Anything happening with that?

I did just see over 1.4million work units available last week. Is that due to a new server or just freeing up storage space?

And if no new server yet, when can we expect it?

Curious mostly because of the disk space issues...

It took more time than expected but we finally have new server and I'll be adding at January. Then the disk space issues will be solved.

The project has not been sending any new work units for the last week or so, saying "project has no tasks available" in the event log.

Is this a problem at my end?

At the "Problems and bug reports" or "Number crunching" topics there is a bunch of threads like "no work" or "out of disk space".
Disk space issues have been an essential reason why there have been problems with availability of work.

Is there any forecast on when there will be more work?

Well, i got work with the last batch, still crunching on it. What bothers me is that my account shows I have 100 tasks pending validation, but the server page shows there are 0 pending. I'm sure I can't be the only one. Are our account pages not getting updated or is the server page wrong? (if i really have that much pending work, that's my next badge level!)
