New twitter account has been created. News and other important things will be also announced there. The twitter account is @asteroidsathome.

I don't tweet. I don't need yet another account and yet another password and yet another way for advertisers to stick their annoying and unwanted ads in my face.

Will all the news and other important things still be announced in the News section on the home page and on the Notices tab in BOINC client?

I don't like 'social' sites either but I can't believe you see ads anywhere on the web ...

I use the Lynx text base browser a lot so it's true.. I don't see a lot of ads but sometimes I use regular ol' FireFox if I want to watch some YouTube or check out some art gallery, etc. Then I see far more ads than I want to see.

Don't worry, everything is going to be still in the news and on the web, twitter is only "addon". Only if there will be some emergency outage and this will be the only way how to let know what is happening.
