Yes, Pi People are already completing tasks here. There are 2 Pi threads already, not that you aren't welcome to start a 3rd. One thread in News, one in Linux/Unix section.

There is also one here called "51.3 hours on a raspberry pi":

The other results i saw are not real ! Here is a real RPI Result. It took the PI to crunch in 80 hours, my goodness.

What do you mean by "not real"?

If you mean "some tasks were done by overclocked CPUs" that do not make the results "not real"

Yes. An unoverclocked raspi takes roughly 3 days and an overclocked raspi 2 days to finish a wu.

ok, i calculated the cost by crunshing on rpi and an amd E350M1 Mainboard. The AMD cpu is more efficient than a rpi, almost by 100%. I stopped rpi crunshing.

The main cost savings come from a cheap purchase price (the Pi only costs $35) and the low power consumption. Some people run them off solar panels but not me.

Yes they are slow but can be over clocked by a fair margin.

Yes they can be overclocked by a fair margin but even with that overclock they are still slow. Not saying don't get one, not saying don't use it for crunching. I'm getting one too and I'll probably crunch with it.

And some people run them off batteries! Just get necessary cooling and you can overclock to 2.5 Ghz without any problems. :)
Happy crunching!

Well today my raspi completed its first WU. Good raspi. Good boy. Good boy.

I bought a fan with a hefty clip from a hydroponics shop to help cool a large desktop. It is quite quiet and has two speeds. One of these would certainly move the air around a Pi. I also put 4 transparent rubber feet on the bottom panel to lift it more and to make it less likely to skate.
