this is a first time that i experienced this kind of problem.
i never experienced it when i was doing seti@home tasks.
i just assumed asteroids@home was having server issues earlier.

I was going to post about it earlier, but the website was unavailable.
should i wait and just sit on the task and see if it completes ??

Sadly this type of thing is normal for this project. Its happening more often as time goes on. I just wish the admins would talk to us and explain what the issue is. If its hardware that needs replaced maybe the community could help out with donations of cash or replacement hardware. But all we get is the silent treatment and its frustrating.

I have a personal goal for this project and once I hit it I am going to stop running it due to the lack of communication and the constant down times. All of the members of my Boinc team, that were running this project, have left it already.

Now I'm getting "server Out of Disk Space"

I've been getting maintenance mode for 2 days, again.
i spent 15 hrs doing a task, now its reaching the project deadline soon.
again, I can see why people would say its frustrating.
and i agree 100%

they definitely need to do something about it.
they wont get to many people to stay interested in it if this keeps up.

just my opinion.

In general, when the project is down and the deadline is reached, as soon as the project is back, it should take your WUs into account (at least, it worked this way last time).

They did sent over your tasks not reported to other PCs/Servers, but if you send it back prior this other machine, you'll gain your credit (I know that cause I was this "new PC", getting tasks for WUs with deadline passed)

Hello all,

for one week i have a similar bug about all my pending WU : the calculation is terminated on my PC but they remain in status : "work in progress" in the task list.
It's the first time I meet this problem, and he appeared the same moment as the server problems related by Radim Vančo.
All of my 12 tasks are concerned, and the 8 older will be promply out-of-date.

Can someone unlock them ?

Started getting an error message from Malwarebytes that Asteroids@home was infected. Suspended the program for about a week. Restarted and no more error messages but now I have 11 work units that needs to upload but they just sit there as pending or retrying. They get to 10% and revert back to pending. This has been going on for about 4 or 5 days, All other programs are fine. Ideas?
