I've been having this same problem for weeks when I pretty much only get tasks for my GPU but my CPU hardly gets any tasks. For weeks I had tasks for GPU equeling 7 days computing time. My settings have 7 days maximum for amount of tasks BOINC downloads. But the server won't send me tasks for CPU because I already have 7 days tasks for GPU. Now I quit using my GPU altogether for the project and easily got tasks for CPU. If I have to choose whether I only use my CPU or my GPU, of course I use my CPU because it has more processing power.

I guess the solution should be that the server would send enough tasks according to the user's settings for both the CPU and the GPU. So x days workunits for CPU and another x days workunits for GPU.

I aborted them in Boinc in the tasks view, there seems to be a problem with those tasks and the server never sent them to my computers again... Alternatively, you can "reset the project" in the projects view. Both will start over with new tasks...
