Has anyone else noticed that the current batch of work units are taking much longer to complete...? I've noticed all project crunchers on Boinc Stats BAM! have been affected by massive drops in daily credit on Asteroids...

That statement is too general. Some of the current work units are taking longer. Others are much the same as the long term average. And as usual, there are some which are completed in a shorter time than the average.

I have also noticed many of the WU's taking almost twice as long on the same computer with no config changes. The result is tasks that are completed, BUT too late to validate WITH NO CREDIT.

Exactly what I and many others have noticed - some WU's are taking at least twice as long as a few weeks ago - I've got WU's today completing in 26:57, where they used to take 12-13mins. Can only surmise the WU's in question are twice as big, or twice as complex, to take twice as long. As we're now out of work, be interesting to see what the next new batch of WU's brings....and then, this...

Asteroids sent test samples and the machines have been bored for two days. It's time to look for a stable project. For a long time, my daily result was dropping on the same configuration, 100,000 is a big difference

It looks like you just started running that app on that host.

Boinc can't and doesn't calculate accurate estimated completion times for tasks until 11 verified tasks for the app have been seen by BOINC. You only have 5 tasks verified so far.

Once the 11th task is reported, the client will show an accurate APR rate for the app and your estimated times will begin to show accuracy to actual runtimes.
