I paid more for this bare-bone box from Tiger Direct. I'll bet if you solicit contributions from Asteroids crunchers, you might get enough to buy two, one as a backup, and everything else you'd need to have a fully functional and stable system. I'd give a little. Seems like you are getting no support at all from your host university. Do they realize this is a worldwide project that could give the University lots of global exposure and prestige? Maybe not. Time to ask your BOINC participants for a little help.
