This Grafana thing is awesome!
sometimes the queue gets dry and it takes a day until admins fill it up again.

you can monitor available work here

Sorry for starting another thread before reading this one.
Well, got Android 4.2.2 on my TV boxes, old enough to have this problem. :D
Hi,
Sorry for the delay and thank you for understanding!

Best,
Georgi

Recently my 2 Android TV boxes returned some Computation Errors. Like an hour ago, a WU was sent back to server and the one downloaded began its work, and then showed there was a computation error. Then the app began to download another job and the job failed right after it started. 3 times, 3 failure. I don't know what seemed to be the problem because it rarely happens before. Here's a link to one of the tasks.

Maybe there's a problem during CPU benchmarking. Don't worry. The software will do another benchmarking later and the estimated time will be more accurate. About the credit, probably all tasks are given the same number. I use an Android TV-box to crunch for this project. Usually it takes 40hrs~50hrs to finish a WU. 480 points. I don't mind the credit. At least the TV-box can do something meaningful other than the 1~2 hrs TV time.

Most WUs run over 10 hours on ARM processors (2Ghz or below).

Ok, I tried. The 1st WU the TV-box got after reset only took more than 10hrs. The 2nd WU took more than 50hrs. Two other WUs on another phone (SnapDragon450 1.8GHz/8cores, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM) took around 50hrs. I only run two WUs on that phone for testing which means there was no interference from other computing whatsoever. I also set preference, disk, RAM, CPU time to the highest values. Seems like it's not the problem with CPU but what is it? I still think the v102.12 (arm_android_pie) app is not efficient.

Ok, I'll try it on one of my phones to see if it's a CPU version thing. Maybe the CPU is old and inefficient.

Is there any application or newer version other than Period Search Application v102.12 (arm_android_pie) for Android devices? This thing runs too sloooooow. The last WU spent 46hrs on my Android TV-box. The TV-box run SCC from WCG before, very fast, 4 to 5 WUs per day. I check RAM and ROM to see if it was out of space, it was not. It was just too damn slow. Why? It there an alternative?

Hy,

I'm getting this error:

19-05-2020 12:11:01 | Asteroids@home | [error] Error reported by file upload server: Server is out of disk space

Yup, my Android TV-Box couldn't upload result either.

The biggest problem with scientists is that they are nerds. Their social skill is bad. Bad enough that they don't communicate with ordinary people in an ordinary way. I think that's one of the reason I didn't accept the offer to study as a PHD student in the UK and went back to my country to find a job in business instead. So, don't blame the project members, because they are scientists LOL, and keep your faith. If you were bored, it's OK to change your life a bit. Maybe you will come around some time in the future, right?
