CPU utilization doesn't seem to matter at all. As I see you have a very similar config with Ryzen, 3080 and Ubuntu so it doesn't happen for you, does it? Maybe there is some conflict with a RX 6600, I need to try removing it, although I already tried deleting amd gpu drivers and reinstalling all drivers in general several times. I'm just trying to understand maybe it is expected behavior for Nvidia GPUs since before that I mainly worked with AMD. |

Even on 6600 there is absolutely no GUI lags and I don't notice Boinc activity at all. I'm thinking about installing Nvidia as the main GPU (because it is supported by more projects and has better performance in most of them), but I was shocked to discover that under 100% load I get noticeable GUI lags while dragging windows or even typing in LibreOffice. It's not terrible, but I don't understand how it is possible especially on a top level 3080ti. Is it expected or is something wrong with my computer? It kinda bums me out. Thanks in advance. |
