Dagorath,

You are the MAN!!. thank you thank you thank you. You just made me $50 from a bet I made with my wife. To be honest, I haven't read anymore then the first 2 sentences you wrote. I called her into the room to show her and now I am $50 richer. See we don't argue about anything we don't have to. If there is a disagreement, we wager depending on how right we think we are. And this time I won again. See, she thought you would be mature like the adult you think you are and that you would read all of what I wrote and pick out the salient points and respond accordingly. I bet you would be an immature teenager in your response. One that thinks he is better then everyone else and that you would pick apart every little thing I wrote. More importantly, That you wouldn't read the post in its wholeness and take away from it the important aspects.

So, frankly and honestly, I don't give a rats crap what you think and I am not going to read your reponses since I already know you were not smart enough to catch the important part. Therefore, nothing you wrote is in response to the problem I first asked about. I changed NOTHING on my computer, didn't touch a thing. If all of a sudden something stops working and you haven't changed anything, then its an outside force or issue that is causing the problem.

So, again. Thank You. You have made my day and probably the whole weekend. Knowing that some little idiot out there who thinks he knows more then everyone else is spinning in his seat and fuming over not pissing me off.

Na, I take it back, I'll enjoy this until the next bet with the wife, so maybe a week of laughing at you. Have a great day dumba$$

Swiftmallard,

Thank you for the thought. I had a similar idea that about the room allocated for BOINC being full. I only run Asteroids and Seti on this machine at even resource sharing. Disk management screen showed that I still had over 8GB of free space allocated to BOINC. I also thought that maybe out of the 4 days of work I set BOINC to keep on my computer, that Seti was taking up all of it. So after 2 days of no Asteroids work, I set Seti to not accept new work and kicked a couple units off the computer and waited a day with no new Asteroids work. Which took me to checking to see if anyone else was having or had had a similar occurance.

But all is good now since I reset the project. Like I said, everything was working great for over a week and I had changed nothing. This computer sits in a spare room that I only go into every now and then to check up on it to make sure everything is still running. Just all of a sudden, Asteroids stopped getting work to do. And after kicking it in the pants with a reset, its happy as can be.

Hmm, Someone has big ego. Better watch out for sharp pins, don't want that head to deflate to fast....

Perhaps if you read the original post a little slower, you would see that I did do some "homework" as you put it. Obviously, if I said I had not suspended anything or changed any settings, you can fairly correctly assume that I at least looked through those things and found nothing amiss. It was working just fine before and nothing has been changed, should keep working without a problem.

The event log doesn't say anything but update requested by user, sending scheduler request: requested by user, not reporting or requesting tasks, task completed. Now, since selecting to update for a specific project is how you "update" a project it is also how you get tasks downloaded to your machine. Therefore, I can figure out that even though I am selecting update and not getting anything, there is something amiss. Just a by the way, other projects working just fine.

Yes, I did check the message boards and home page, how do you think I got here? The post was an attempt to see if anyone else was havnig a problem, could have been a weekend thing and no news had been posted yet. You never know unless you ask. Since there was nothing obvious on my end, there was no need to write a book about the hour(s) I spent looking over things multiple times. Just toss out a simple question.

By the way, still don't know why the three days of no new work units since apparently there wasn't an unplanned outage but I did manage to kick the program into operation by 'reseting' the project.

Have a nice day. And you can take that 'kick in the butt' and stow it where the sun doesn't shine. Try being polite, it works better.

I have not recieved any new work units since 2/1 or 2/2.

Anyone else having an issue? or Have any ideas?

I do not have the project suspended or tagged 'no new tasks' and I have made no changes in any settings.

Thank You!
